Mango Pickle

Ingredients

  • Raw mangoes 1 kg (sliced in 8)

  • Salt 4 tbsp

  • Turmeric powder 2 tbsp

  • Vinegar 1 ½ cup

  • Cumin seeds 2 tbsp

  • Red chilli flakes 2 tbsp

  • Nigella seeds 1 tsp

  • Fennel seeds 1 tbsp

  • Mustard seeds 1 tbsp

  • Fenugreek seeds 1 tbsp

  • Carom seeds ½ tsp

  • Mustard oil 3 cups

 

Cooking Directions

  • Take a bowl and add the sliced mangoes in it.

  • Then add salt and turmeric powder and mix them properly.

  • Take a pan and add vinegar, ½ cup of water, and mangoes.

  • Cover and cook till the mangoes become tender and water dries up.

  • Take them out in a mixing bowl.

  • In a separate pan take mustard oil, cumin seeds, red chilli flakes, nigella seeds, fennel seeds, mustard seeds,

  • fenugreek seeds, carom seeds and cook for 2 minutes.

  • Then add this mixture to the mangoes and mix properly.

  • Allow the mixture to cool and pour into a jar.
