Ingredients

1 large onion

150 grams flour
-
5 grams salt
-
1 tablespoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 eggs
-
Dip:
-
20 grams cream cheese
-
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
-
Dried oregano
-
Dried rosemary

Cooking Directions

Slice your onion about 3/4 of the way down, being careful not to cut to the bottom. Spread the petals apart to make coating easier.

Combine flour, paprika, salt and cayenne pepper and mix well. Coat the onion with mixture and shake off excess.

Dip the onion in the egg to cover completely. Then coat with the flour mixture a second time, making sure to shake off any excess.

Fry in hot oil until crispy and golden brown.

Combine ingredients for the dip and mix well. Serve the blooming onion with the dip.
