Most of persons like Khatay Aloo. Try this recipe once and you will try again.

Ingredients

  • Baby potatoes 1 & 1/2 kg (pealed & boiled

  • Tamarind pulp 1 cup

  • Jaggery (Gurr) 1/2 cup

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • Ginger powder 1 tsp

  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp

  • Coriander seeds 2 tsp (crushed)

  • Cumin seeds 2 tsp (crushed)

  • Green chilli 2 (finely chopped)

  • Fresh coriander 3 tbsp

  • Oil 1/3 cup

  • Water 1 cup

Cooking Directions

  • Heat oil add the boiled potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, coriander crushed, cumin crushed mix and fry for 2 to 3  minutes, on low to medium flame.

  • Then add tamarind pulp, jaggery, ginger powder, water mix wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook on  medium flame till the water dries.

  • Now add fresh coriander, green chilli.

  • Serve with puri paratha as a chat or starter.
